Aims:
To provide reiki
to individuals and carers referred to the service, alongside the other
palliative care complementary therapists within the hospice.
Main Tasks:
•Liaise with therapies staff to link groups and prioritise individuals to be seen.
•Prioritise referrals for the ward and liaise with the nursing staff.
•Obtain verbal consent from the individual receiving reiki.
•Perform reiki where appropriate in line with the hospices’ Complementary Therapy policy.
•Input information into individual notes/iCare.
•Ensure all consumables are in date and in stock.
•Liaise with the Therapies Manager and Palliative Care Complementary Therapists.
•Attend team meetings and any supervision/support organised for you by the Therapies Manager.
•Attend, and update, the hospice’s mandatory training topics; and other essential topics as and when they are notified to you.
Reiki certification Level 2 or above
Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology qualification
2 years post qualification work experience
Registered with a recognised professional body
