Join the Kitchen Crew at Jimmy’s Cambridge!

At Jimmy’s, we believe a warm meal can be the start of a brighter day. As a Kitchen Volunteer, you’ll be right at the heart of our mission, helping prepare and serve delicious, nutritious food to our residents at either our 25 bedroom emergency accommodation on East Road or at our 9 bedroom Complex need centre on Newmarket Road, Cambridge.

What you’ll be doing:

At our East Road site, volunteers can:

• Prepare and serve breakfast on the weekends only
• Serve the evening meal throughout the week.

At our Newmarket Road site, volunteers can:

• Prepare and serve brunch on the weekends only.
• Prepare and serve evening meal throughout the week.

Part of the role includes: 

• Keeping the kitchen clean, safe, and running smoothly.
• Serving meals with a smile and a listening ear.
• Working alongside a welcoming team who cares deeply about making a difference.

What skills do I need?

• Safeguarding
• Good teamworking skills
• Food Safety Level 2 - (Jimmy's will organise the online course)
